Electroplated Nickel Silver (EPNS) is nickel silver, a copper alloy, that was traditionally used as base metal onto which silver is plated. With evolution and improved understanding of metals other copper alloys and stainless steel began being used as the base metal. Electroplated Copper Alloy (EPCA) represents such copper alloys ousting nickel.
Electroplated Stainless Steel (EPSS) is the other form of silver plated metal wherein the base metal is stainless steel.
